Happy birthday wishes to the late, great Tupac Shakur as he rests easy in heaven!
In honor of his birthday, the official teaser for upcoming biopic, All Eyez on Me, has been released, and it looks GOOD. Demetrius Shipp, Jr., who plays the rapper, looks and sounds like Pac A LOT. I’ve heard he even played Tupac’s mannerisms really well.
I’m definitely excited to go check this out. Watch the teaser below!
Move over Genius! (just kidding!) Looks like someone has gotten hold of the lyrics of the late West Coast legendary rapper Tupac Shakur!
According to Rolling Stone Magazine, three notebooks owned by Pac, containing handwritten lyrics, music video ideas and other notes will be auctioned for fans!
The auction house set to sell the items is Moment In Time, the same auction house that sold his hand-written letter from his time in pprison. The lyrics to songs like “16 on Death Row,” “It Ain’t Easy,” and “Keep Ya Head Up” are all within these notebooks.
There currently isn’t a set price for the notebooks yet, because Moment In Time has said they might sell the pages separately. As a fan, I would personally rather see the whole notebook be sold together and not be ripped up. Stay tuned to The Spotlight for any info!

What a great Christmas it will be then! Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you read that title right! A new Tupac Shakur album will be released this Christmas, according to BET Entertainment (I LOVE THIS SITE!). The president of Canadian company Wideawake Entertainment John Payne told VIBE.com that the album will consist of previously recorded unreleased material. Apparently, these songs were recorded during the All Eyez On Me days.
Payne told VIBE.com, “This is unreleased Tupac…no remastering or remixing. The songs are from a collection of tracks that were recorded during his Death Row days around All Eyez On Me. I believe that these songs could have been Tupac’s next record if he were still alive.”
Well, I’m definitely looking forward to it. I will be buying that on iTunes. Man it’s crazy. If Tupac (and some of our other legends no doubt) were still around, they would definitely be letting my generation know how it really be! Swear some of this new stuff out now, I just can’t get with it.
