Brandy and Monica have officially dropped their video for their collaboration “It All Belongs To Me!” Can I say again how much I LOVE THEM! Brandy and Monica are two of the best vocalists in the game, and to see them working together again is great! I love the song, and the video definitely went along with the message of the song! And the pair looked AMAZING!

The duet, produced by Rico Love, will appear on Monica’s seventh album New Life coming out April 10, and Brandy’s RCA/Chameleon debut Two Eleven, coming this June.

Monica and BrandyAll I can say is: FINALLY! We have been waiting for this duet for quite some time, and Brandy and Monica didn’t disappoint. The duo released their newest song together “It All Belongs To Me,” today and the world is going crazy, with Brandy and Monica and the song title become top trending topics within 20 minutes of the song’s release!

The collaboration, produced by Rico Love, features the women kicking out their men on the soulful song, which will appear on both of their upcoming albums.

Listen to the song below!

“It’s a very soulful R&B song with pop sensibilities,” Love told Rap-Up.com. “I wanted to make sure I made it a classic R&B record, but I definitely wanted to make sure that it had enough appeal to cross over and become a Top 40 record.” Brandy added, “This business is all about competition. They forgot about what is the most important, which is two talents coming together. It’s just great to come back and do something with [Monica]. This is definitely a blessing.”

It’s been 14 years since Brandy and Monica dropped their duet The Boy Is Mine” in 1998. I remember being a kid and going crazy every time that came on the radio! To hear them again together is great! I think that their voices really compliment each other, and it’s great to see them back together on this song! It’s an amazing jam!

"Until It’s Gone"-Monica (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

Monica Until Its Gone coverh New Video: Monica Until Its Gone

Yesterday, Monica premiered her second single, “Until It’s Gone,” on 106 & Park. Directed by Diane Martel, the video focuses on on-screen couple Malinda Williams and Brian White. Their argument during a car ride in a storm leads to a crash, with Malinda’s life in the balance. The different family members come together in a hospital waiting room, while Monica, as Malinda’s big sister, singing the song’s lyrics to Brian, whose shady ways are to blame for the situation in the first place. Check the moving video after the jump!

One of Monica’s best! I almost cried watching this! It just goes to show you that you should appreciate what and WHO you have while you have them, because when they’re gone, they’re gone. That’s the whole point of the song. And I feel like even though this song is in terms of romantic relationships, it also speaks to appreciating people in general.

Lil Kim Removed from Monica’s New Single

Published July 15, 2011 by BrittanyShawnte

Poor Kim can’t win for losing in this business now, man. She was recently featured on Monica’s newest single Anything (To Find You) which also featured Rick Ross. According to SingersRoom, the single is now to be released WITHOUT Kim’s verse on the track. Apparently, the song has a sample from the Notorious B.I.G.’s hit “Who Shot Ya,” and Voletta Wallace, B.I.G.’s mom, SHUT THAT DOWN. So the finalized version does not have Kim’s verse on it at all.

Monica tweeted her fans and explained the situation (Read from bottom up)

I wasn’t really feeling Kim’s verse connection with the song. To me, it was hardcore Kim which is great, but it didn’t fit the feel of the song anyway. No diss. I do want her to make a comeback though, and compete with Nicki Minaj in female hip-hop. You know, since now a days people just giving Nicki awards, with her competing against irrelevant rappers *cough BET.* Monica, Kim, and Missy Elliot who worked on the track, are fighting to get the Biggie Estate to let them use Kim’s verse. We’ll see how that goes. The original version is below…though I don’t know how long it will be up as copyright claims are being brought up on YouTube, and the original is being taken down slowly but surely.

PEACE.
