Lauren Conrad Is Back At MTV!

Published September 24, 2010 by BrittanyShawnte

Afternoon everyone! OFFICIALLY THE WEEKEND! I get out of class at 10:50 on Fridays, so I’ve been sleeping all day, ignoring Spotlight smh haha It’s been a long week…

So I have some big news for you! At least, it’s big news to me. Lauren Conrad, of Laguna Beach and The Hills fame, is headed back to MTV! According to MTV News, LC will star in a new reality program about her launching her fashion line!

“I am so excited to be rejoining the MTV family,” Lauren told MTV News in a statement about her new television venture. “The new project will follow me as I develop my new contemporary line and also touch on my other businesses.”

LC said goodbye to MTV in 2009 after she left The Hills. Understandable because she did need to move on, and do new things. But I’m honestly glad she’s back. What I’ve noticed about her, and this is just from watching the show, is that she’s really driven, real, and has a high passion for fashion. I’m happy that she’s making a name for herself past her reality stint on MTV. Books and fashion collections. I wonder what’s next?

PEACE.

Lauren Conrad Gets Film Deal For Her Book

Published September 30, 2009 by BrittanyShawnte

Lauren Conrad, known for her pasts roles on MTV reality shows Laguna Beach and The Hills, has gotten a movie deal for her debut book, L.A. Candy, says Us Magazine. Temple Hill Entertainment has acquired the screen rights to the novel.

“Lauren, who became an icon in that reality show world, came to us with a structure of how to tell the story in an interesting fashion that was separate and apart from the book,” Temple Hill producer Marty Bowen said. “We loved her take. Her book is an honest portrayal of what it must be like to set out to be normal, then sign on to become famous and eventually realize, wow, this isn’t at all what I’d planned for myself.”

Like Lauren’s life, L.A. Candy — which has been on the New York Times bestseller list for 14 weeks since its June release — follows a 19-year-old girl named Jane Roberts who moves to Hollywood and finds fame as a reality star.

Lauren, who plans to write two more books in the series, will serve as the movie’s executive producer.

Man, people can say whatever they want. Lauren is killing the game and she is definitely smarter than people think! I had to tell my friend last night, when he joked about me watching The Hills season premiere last night (which just was not the same without Lauren btw…still good but would’ve been better with her, but I digress). Lauren is working on getting her fashion line established, she has this book deal, and now she is going to have a movie for the book. She’s doing good for herself. Haters, back down. That’s my word.

PEACE.

LC and Kim Kardashian To Be On ANTM

Published August 4, 2009 by BrittanyShawnte

First to my readers, I have to apologize. I haven’t been completely into this blog like I have been normally. Only one post a day is kind of week to me, at least with celeb news. Work has been overtaking me, so I’ve kind of been slacking, but I’m getting back on it. Trust. Okay, back to the news….

Well, reality TV still has a hold on Lauren Conrad. According to Us Magazine, the former star of the MTV reality show The Hills, will be a guest judge on Tyra Banks’ America’s Next Top Model on September 16. Kim Kardashian, known for her role on her family’s reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, will also be a guest judge on the October 21 episode, along side Tyra, my favorite judge Miss J. Alexander, and Nigel Barker.

Other guest judges confirmed for the upcoming season include runway model Chanel Iman and Seventeen editor Ann Shoket.

And for the first time in ANTM history, all competitors will be 5’7 or shorter. THANK YOU!!! Dang, why do models have to always be so tall all the time? Not discriminating on the vertically blessed, but can shorter people get some love in the modeling world too? Thank you Tyra for that, even though I’ve clearly missed my shot at becoming America’s Next Top Model. LOL who knows when this 5’7 or shorter deal will come again??? Man, I should’ve made it to the audition LOL.

America’s Next Top Model will be back for its fall season on September 9.

PEACE.
