Obviously, I want Bey to win all the Moonmen she can get, but there are definitely a lot of great music videos in the running for every category. I would personally love to see Alessia Cara take home a moonman for her vid for “Wild Things,” and Bryson Tiller deserves a Moonman for his work too. Guess we’ll see who wins what when the Video Music Awards air live from  Madison Square Garden on Sunday, Aug. 28 at 9 p.m. ET!

Who would you like to see win at this year’s VMAs?

Rihanna has officially released her music video for “Work,” featuring Drake, and surprise! It’s a double feature!

The singer dropped two different versions of the video in the same clip for fans. The first version of the video, which was teased last week, features Rihanna and Drake at a party dancing to the reggae track with other partygoers. The second version, which plays immediately after, is a simpler version with just Ri and Drake dancing and performing in front of the camera.

Drake Sued For Allegedly Selling Copied Owl Pendants

Published September 12, 2013 by BrittanyShawnte

More legal trouble for Drake? According to TMZ, a Hollywood jeweler, Michael Raphael (owner of Baden Baden Inc), is suing the rapper for allegedly creation copies of his almost $50,000 owl pendant for Drake’s own crew! The owl pendant is one that Drake rocks a lot.

Raphael claims that his company was hired to make Drake this custom diamond and platinum pendant back in January, which was paid for by Drake for $49,204. Six months later, Raphael saw copied gold designs of the pendants on Drake’s Instagram account (these celebs stay getting in trouble with their social media accounts!).

With the suit, Drake faces copyright infringement as well as having to cough up the copied pendants! Goodness! This isn’t Drake’s first suit surrounding his fashion, though. His stylist sued him just last month for alleged unpaid bills. Drake, if this is indeed true, I need you to cough up the money! You get paid WAY too much to ever stiff folks out of their cash.

In other Drizzy news, he officially dropped his trailer for his third album, Nothing Was The Same, which drops September 24, a month before the rapper’s 27th birthday! Check it out below!

Started From The Bottom-Drake (NEW SONG)

Published February 2, 2013 by BrittanyShawnte

***Explicit Content***

Drake has officially released his new single from his upcoming third album. Titled “Started From The Bottom,” Drake raps about his journey from living at home with his mom to making it big in the rap industry. He also gave his fans a letter on his site talking about his return to music, showing us all that he’s still around and has more in store for us this year and beyond.

Check out the song and Drake’s letter below!

Drake wrote:

“My good friends,

It has truly been too long. I assume you’re all keeping well and making the most of this year that has been given to us. Today is the day to begin sharing my newest work with you. This is the first single off of my upcoming album. I feel sometimes that people don’t have enough information about my beginnings and therefore they make up a life story for me that isn’t consistent with actual events. My family and my second family (consisting of the best friends anybody could ever have) all struggled and worked extremely hard to make all this happen. I did not buy my way into this spot and it was the furthest thing from easy to achieve. I am proud of every part of my past and I’m excited for this song to find a place in your life as well. I didn’t feel I needed any interviews or radio or press to launch this song. It felt right to come back to the site that I started on and release it to the people that started here with me. Judging by this post, the tour that we’ve been planning, the conversations about new songs and album artwork…I think it’s safe to say we’re back together again. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.”

Chris Brown Gets Hit In Alleged Fight with Drake’s Entourage

Published June 14, 2012 by BrittanyShawnte

Chris Brown apparently got a pretty nasty cut on his chin from a bottle thrown allegedly after his entourage clashed with Drake’s friends in a club.
The NYPD confirmed to TMZ that the crews got into a fight at WIP Nightclub in NYC with 5 people being injured, one of them being Chris. The police got to the scene after getting a call between 4 and 5 a.m., but neither Chris and Drake were there when the cops showed up. No arrests were made.
Though NYPD didn’t slap on any cuffs, you know Breezy. He HAD to take to social media to talk about it. That’s what it’s for, right? After the fight, Chris shared a pic of his injury onTwitter saying, “How u party wit rich n**** that hate? Lol… Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!.”
The photo and the message, of course were since removed from Chris’ page. Chris is known to tweet his mishaps and adventures, and then takes it down moments later (thanks to his publicity team, I’m sure). Rumor has it that the fight was all over Rihanna, who Drake has been rumored to have hooked up with in the past. For someone who they both have supposedly gotten over (Chris has a new girlfriend now and Drake has his other side chicks), her name sure does come up a lot with the two of them! Simmer down boys.
