‘Supergirl’ and ‘The Flash’ Crossover Episode To Air In March

Published February 8, 2016 by BrittanyShawnte

If you’re a fan of The CW‘s The Flash and or CBSSupergirl like I am then you’re in for a treat! Come March 28th, the shows will be having a crossover episode in which the scarlet speedster Barry Allen aka The Flash will be zipping over to National City help Kara Danvers aka Supergirl to save the day from that week’s villain!

For those that don’t know, both shows are executive produced by Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, who had this to say about the upcoming episode:

“We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl —The Flash and Supergirl are teaming up!…We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros., and DC for working this out. And finally thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone’s enthusiasm and support.”

I’ll be tuned in for this episode along with all our fellow Spotlight fans of both shows! Supergirl airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS, while The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

REPORT: Beyoncé to Join Coldplay for Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show

Published January 8, 2016 by BrittanyShawnte

Beyoncé is reportedly making her Super Bowl performance return on February 7th, 2016 for Super Bowl 50!

According to Entertainment Tonight, it is presumed that Bey will hit the stage during the halftime performance headliner Coldplay’s “Hymn for the Weekend” which features the singer. 2013 Super Bowl performer Bruno Mars is scheduled to make an appearance as well.

If true, on paper, this will be catapulted into one of the best Halftime performances along with the past individual performances of Beyoncé and Bruno Mars in my opinion. My Dallas Cowboys may not be in the playoffs, but now I have a reason to watch the Super Bowl!

Super Bowl 50 will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, airing live on CBS.

Bow Wow Leaves Cash Money Records

Published May 11, 2015 by BrittanyShawnte

Bow Wow is the latest rapper to cut contractual ties with Cash Money Records. Shad recently announced the split via his Facebook account. The rapper have been signed to the storied Southern rap imprint since 2009 but has yet to drop an album even though he has been frequently plugging his upcoming LP Underrated for years.

According to Bow, the split was amicable. Clearly lack of support from the label to put out music is a major factor in Bow wanting to leave. This is the same gripe that has been brought up by CMR employees Lil Twist, Tyga and cash cow Lil Wayne in the recent past. This is the third Cash Money artist to jump ship in less than a year. Last July, Busta Rhymes left the label after spending nearly three unproductive years with Baby and Slim. In October, British R&B singer Jay Sean parted ways with CMR after six years with the New Orleans powerhouse, dropping three albums while with the label.

Check out the official announcement below!

My Video Review of the Grammys

Published February 13, 2012 by BrittanyShawnte

Ok, so this is my first ever video review on the blog. I wanted to try something different, and if people like it, then I’ll start reviewing more award and TV shows in video format. If not, I’m sticking to writing! Haha! I was definitely a little nervous, even though it was only me and my laptop (and a few people walking in and out at my job! I got bored!). Like I said, just wanted to try something new. Check out my review of the big night below!

I’ll probably post some videos of the big performances later today too, when I actually have enough energy to deal with searching for them and embedding HTML codes!

Oh and by the way, look out for a song from me coming up soon “Marvin’s Room Revamped.” Yes, everybody and their mother has covered that song, and you can add me to the list haha! I’ll tell y’all more later!
